Mapx Tech turns open Earth-observation and environmental data into clear, licence-clean maps and visualisations. We process it, display it, and get it to the people who need to make sense of it — decision-makers, planners, journalists.
Each project is a standalone application, with its own data source and methodology.
We run the whole chain: from the raw scene to the legible figure.
Automated retrieval, cleaning, index and statistics computation from open space and environmental data. A reproducible, documented pipeline — not one-off manual work.
Interactive, browser-based maps with a distinct palette and legend. Every view is shareable by link and embeddable into partner sites.
From the same data we produce the technical brief, the press graphic and the plain-language campaign material. Data is only worth something once it reaches both the decision-maker and the public.
We build our processing and visualisation tools with the help of artificial intelligence. It does not replace the data — the source is always a credible public measurement or model — it shortens the path between them: the coding, the experimentation, the visual iteration.
For every map we state where the data comes from and what we did with it.
We use only public, third-party validated data (Copernicus, ECMWF, DTU), under their licence terms, with attribution.
We take no measurements of our own. We make existing open data legible — every map states clearly that it shows processed, visualised data.
Our maps are for national-scale orientation. Investment or regulatory decisions require on-site measurement and expert assessment — we state this on every surface.

Mapx Tech Ltd. is a Budapest-based company building data visualisations from open Earth-observation and environmental data. Our services draw on the Copernicus programme’s Sentinel satellites, the ECMWF ERA5 reanalysis, and further public data sources.
Our aim is to make the large, open observation data estate legible and usable for Hungarian decision-makers, planners, researchers and the wider public — licence-clean, with documented methodology.
With our Earth-observation-based services we are open to European research and development collaborations, consortium participation and downstream application development. Our capability statement and technical methodology notes are available on request.
